The summer storms from July 17th and 18th have kept Willingboro Firefighters busy. Most of the incidents that the department responded too have been for downed power lines and trees. The line of storms that came through on the evening of July 17th brought the department's A Platoon 8 incidents between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm. Engines 1613 and 1612 were responding to calls during the storms. The crews used chains saws to help remove fallen trees from the roadway at several of the incidents.. The platoon ran a total of 10 calls during their 24 hour shift.

The storms from the afternoon of July 18th have kept the department's B Platoon busy from 2 pm to 4pm. Chief of Department Burnett, Deputy Chief Clark, Engines 1613, and Engine 1612 all covered a total of 8 calls during this time period. Engine 1613 responded to an apartment fire in Burlington Township during the storms. As of 4:30 pm the Platoon has responded to 13 total incidents since starting their shift at 6:30 am.
