Two motor vehicle accidents required a response from Willingboro Firefighters on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 10th. At 4:33 pm the department was sent to Levitt Parkway near Sunset Road for a three vehicle accident involving a Willingboro Police Department vehicle. The vehicle was struck from behind while the officer was assisting a motorist who's vehicle had broken down in the right lane. The driver who's vehicle struck the police vehicle was taken to the hospital to get checked out. Firefighters remained on scene until all vehicles were towed away and were released at 5:19 pm.

After finishing at the accident on Levitt Parkway, Chief of Department Burnett and the crew of Engine 1613 were sent to 35 Charleston Road for a vehicle that struck a trailer that was being used for storage. The vehicle jumped a curb and struck a support leg for the trailer. Nobody was injured as a result of the accident. A heavy duty tow truck was called to the scene to lift the trailer so the car could be removed and the damaged support leg could be repaired. All units were available at 5:46 pm.
